Email
Spoofing
Hiding into your inbox
E-mail spoofing is used
to define fraudulent email activity where the sender address and some
additional parts on an email header are adjusted to look as if the email came
from another source. This mischievous technique is used mostly for sending spam
emails and phishing to camouflage the origin of the email. By altering certain
parts of the email which are found in the header, scammers and spammers can
hide behind an email and make it appear as if it was from someone else.
Email spoofing
usually follows website spoofing which is when a website is made to copy the look and feel of another
popular and trusted website but is really run by scammers with bad intentions.
