Stolen credit card information is often times used to commit internet fraud, and of course this data can be stolen from offline or online sources. This information can be leaked through company databases if hackers manage to gain access to such websites tight security. It’s no secret that some employees of large companies sometimes sell personal customer information to scam artists. Which leaves us to wonder, “when is it ever safe to use our credit cards?” The answer to this is never. Even transactions labeled “secure” are only secure up to some point since data is still decrypted through the process into plan text. We must always check our credit and ensure we’re not spending for ourselves and for scammers, this is the only safe way, to spot the “strange” transactions and bills before it’s too late.
